We invited Andres from @andres.cigars onto the podcast to bring some actual cigar knowledge to the table.
That was the plan, anyway.
Over a My Father La Gran Oferta Toro Gordo, we get into Cuban cigars, New World cigars, Spain’s cigar culture, Cohiba hype, absurd cigar prices, underrated cheap smokes, retrohaling, Dubai’s cigar scene and a few opinions that will probably annoy someone.
Andres also makes a very convincing case for a €2.50 Cuban cigar.

“La Gran Oferta” translates to **“The Great Offer.”** The line was introduced in 2018 and takes inspiration from the artwork of an old Cuban cigar brand bearing the same name. It uses an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper over a fully Nicaraguan core.
The interesting part is that none of us had smoked it before recording.
So this is less of a polished cigar review and more of five people trying to work out what the hell they’re tasting in real time.
